“Postmenopausal women taking certain diabetes medications, including the popular drugs Avandia and Actos, may be at increased risk for bone fractures, according to a new study led by the University of Michigan Health System.
The study of more than 3,000 patients showed risk for fractures was higher among patients who took thiasolidinediones, including rosiglitazone and pioglitazone.
Men with diabetes taking both loop diuretics such as such as Lasix or Bumex and TZDs may also be at increased risk of fractures. The study was published online ahead of print in the Endocrine’s Society’s Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.”
Once again we see that allopathy’s flawed models undermine our health.
This morning, and being in the process of re-reading the Oganon, I looked at aphorism 74:
‘Among chronic diseases, we must unfortunately still include those widespread diseases that are artificially induced by allopathic treatments and by prolonged use of violent, heroic medicines in large and increasing doses..’
Sadly, so little has changed and although medical historians regard the age of heroic medicine as being over except for the treatment of cancer, sadly, iatrogenic disease is all around, and, one suspects, increasing in incidence.
P.S. Nice to have you back!
Thank you Kevin,
I was just having a short siesta 🙂
And you are right, there is so much timeless wisdom in the Organon…& after all this time so little seems to have changed!
