Another possible explanation for the remarkable properties of low-potency homeopathic remedies.

Great stuff – I hope Luc collects his 1 million $ from that Randy Magician … remember him?
Shame this has not received more publicity in the UK broadsheets. I wonder why?
Yes – funny that. Well he is not actually setting out to prove that homeopathy works as such – however his results can be applied to homeopathic potencies.
‘proves homeopathy works’? You wish. Proves trace amounts have a detectable em signature. Stretching that one a little, aren’t we?!
Hello ‘snakey’,
If you read my comment you will notice that I said ‘low potency homeopathy’, in other words homeopathy using substances not diluted beyond avogadro’s number.
Also…this is my blog, not some internet forum. If you wish to comment can you try & be more polite in future? Ta ta

If you read your title you’ll notice it says ‘Luc Montagnier Foundation Proves Homeopathy Works’. I don”t think that’s what they’ve proved at all. Trying to claim support from people with genuine credentials by misrepresenting their work is a pretty spurious tactic, and deserves to be called out.
Does ‘polite’ in this context just mean ‘non-sceptical’? I stand by my original point. Remember, this is just some internet blog. It’s not the Book of Kells I’m scribbling over.
Toodle-oo!! See you round ‘some internet forum’.
Snakey…that’s not you from the venerable ‘IF’ is it? 🙂
I’ll ask again. If you are an adult I would like to request that you talk civilly. ‘Polite’ means …um… polite! You are free to express any opinion here politely.
I’ll put it another way. The internet and general media is FULL of the voices of the ‘skeptical’ (I’d call them logical positivists and I’m just glad that I grew out of that phase of my adolescence!). This is my little antidote to the cheerleaders of the brave new technological utopia approaching. Homeopaths know our remedies work…we see it every day. I know I know…’the sample size is too small to draw any statistically significant conclusion from blah blah’. Have you seen the patient records stored at the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital…. there are ROOMS full of statistically insignificant ‘anecdotal evidence’…that is ‘records of people that got well after homeopathic treatment’.
To my mind true science is stilling your prejudices and simply observing reality…no preconceived notions. This is when you observe the patterns and laws of nature. Homeopaths do this every time they sit with a patient. Your ‘skeptics’ have filled their minds with so many preconceived notions that I fear they will only see what they want to see. I suppose it is a fearful thing to think that the world might not be how they think it is…I understand… many homeopaths started out just as they are. Please stick around, hopefully I can expose you to a different way of thinking.
It boils down to the way you view the world: Does matter come from mind, or does mind come from matter?

Alan
