Treating Glandular fever (mononecleosis)

Mononucleosis is a viral infection causing fever, sore throat, and swollen lymph glands, especially in the neck. The fever usually drops in 10 days, and swollen lymph glands and spleen heal in 4 weeks.
It can be fairly debilitating with sufferers feeling very lethargic up to 3 months afterwards.

Con-med has no effective treatments to offer, other than to suggest rest & drinking plenty of fluids.

From my point of view, I have often seen this illness develop shortly after vaccinations. When I give a homeopathic remedy to counter the damage the vaccination may have caused, very often the patient gets a brief return of their glandular fever symptoms (even if they come to see me many years after). One of my patients is undergoing this in a quite spectacular way right now, which prompted me to write this piece.

Some people never really regain their health after their glandular fever, a continuing lethargy persists, they have a lowered immune system & are prone to colds & flus etc. Luckily homeopathy can deal with this very effectively. So, if you or someone you know is suffering like this, please drop me, or a qualified homeopath in your area, a line & we’ll see if we can help 🙂

Normally I try to empower people by suggesting remedies they can take to help themselves. However in this case I feel it would be better if you were under a homeopath’s care.

Hello. My little boy was diagnoised at theage of 3 with gladular fever around a year ago which they said is a very rare case in such a you g child, he also had all the symptoms very severely. He was really poorly for months on end. Then he seemed to perk up and be in really good health for quite a while. But in the last 3 weeks he has had some of the re occurring symptoms pains in feet, sore throat, slightly swollen glands in neck, belly ache and really fatigued and no energy. I have been giving him a really healthy diet and got some herbal products and vitamins and minerals. It’s heartbreaking to see him like this again.he is 4 now and off school at the minute cos No way would he be able to cope with the demands and activities of school.
